FIRST INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUIUM ON MICRO-NANOTECHNOLOGY
TO SERVE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF MADAGASCAR
(16-17 November 2017, Antananarivo, Madagascar)
Since his creation in 2013 by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESUPRES), the RAOELINA ANDRIAMBOLOLONA commission for Micro-Nanotechnology (CORANANO) continues the activities of raising awareness and to work on the implementation of the local skills so that the country benefits from potential of the nanotechnology.
To appropriate technical potential of the nanotechnology and lead to the objectives already identified by previous national workshops on nanotechnology (on 2013, on 2014, on 2015), the CORANANO took the initiative to organize the present international colloquium to fill scientific and technical gaps in the country with regard to this innovative technology.
OBJECTIVES :
a) Sensitize Malagasy researcher to basic knowledge on micro and nanotechnology,
b) Sensitize Decision-Makers on the potential of Nanotechnology to deal with socio-economical development of the country (Energy, Agriculture, Health, Environment and water resources, etc.),
c) Exchange of information and sharing of experiences concerning nanotechnology applications,
d) Setting-up of a scientific collaborative network (NanoMADA), and arouse the interest of international partners for the development of scientific and technical collaborations with scientific and research institutions in Madagascar,
e) To identify potential areas that will bring for national and international collaboration.
TOPICS :
The Colloquium will address a rather broad scope of topics in Nanotechnology (Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, Modeling and Simulation) applied to Plants, Health, Drugs delivery, Energy, Mining etc...
Tentative programme and timetable will be announced in due time, as soon as finalized
